Alaska Airlines announced on Monday that it would cancel 41 flights between Alaska and some major West Coast cities. This cancellation of flights is a result of a rising cloud ash that started after a volcano eruption during the last week.

The carrier, which is a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc., told that the flight between Alaska and major West Coast cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Ore, San Francisco, Portland British Columbia, Seattle and Vancouver have been canceled.

Alaska Airlines also informed that it’s monitoring that volcanic ash and it is expected that the flights will be resumed till next Monday. “We are trying to reschedule passengers on these affected flights and travelers can check flight status alaskaair.com.
