Sedona was first settled by Native Americans around 6000 years back. The Hopi Indians used to live caves and grew enough food to sustain them. Schenbly first opened Sedona’s first post office in 1902. Sedona was the name of Schenbly’s wife. In the beginning, there were around twenty families that inhabited the area.

The population of Sedona is around 20,000 and its altitude is around 4,400 feet above sea level. Its average temperature is 75 degrees. Average rainfall is recoded about 17.15 inches here. It is 2048 miles away from Washington DC.
Almost 51% land of Sedona is owned by private owners, while the rest of land is owned by the Coconino National Forest. Coffee Pot Rock is the highest point in Sedona which is 5600 feet high and Oak Creek is the lowest point with 4000 feet. Around two to four million tourists visit Sedona every year.

I love Sedona it’s one of the most scenic places in Arizona. Driving through it at sunset is amazing.
