LOS ANGELES: Passengers were removed from inflatable-chutes on Tuesday after a Honolulu-bound airliner executed an immediate landing at Los Angeles International Airport as traveler smelled the smoke in the cabin.

No indication of fire was observed on the airplane.

Six passengers, along with a child, were tested at the outlook for wallops, bruises and other slight wounds, said by correspondent, Mr. Brian Humphrey.

American Airlines Flight 31 to Honolulu, taking 188 travelers and 6 party associates, took off from the airport at 8:48 a.m., American reporter Tim Smith said.

After a few time, the pilot decided to return.

“They had a few kind of smoke in the cabin,” Smith said.

The Boeing 757 landed around 57 minutes later and “the captain announced an emergency landing and get everyone out of the airplane through the slides,” Smith said.

A number of travelers left on a later flight and were due in Honolulu in excess of five hours later than basically planned, Smith said.

The fire troops using thermal depicting cameras scanned the small cabin and cargo hold “and therefore far detected no proof of an active fire, Humphrey said.

He said the aircraft, “The National Transportation and Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration would detect the inquiry pretty soon”.

FAA orator Ian Gregor said, “He couldn’t recall at the last minutes an aircraft had to manage evacuation chutes at the airport”.

Smith said merely one reason of this incident, “The pilot deployed the chutes was the airline was entirely full of travelers”.
